कृष्ण और सुदामा की अनूपम दोस्ती की कहानी सभी को अच्छे से पता है। यदि किसी को दोस्ती की मिसाल देनी हो, तो पहला उदाहरण हमें श्री कृष्ण और सुदामा का ही देना चाहिए। कृष्ण, जिनका जन्म एक धनी परिवार में हुआ था, और सुदामा, एक गरीब ब्राह्मण, उनके दोस्त थे। उनके बीच वित्तीय और सामाजिक स्थिति में बड़ा फर्क था, लेकिन उनकी अद्वितीय दोस्ती की मिसाल आज भी दुनिया के सभी को दी जाती है। पुराणों के अनुसार, एक समय की बात है, एक गरीब ब्राह्मणी अपने दुखद जीवन का अनुभव कर रही थी। उसका जीवन भिक्षा मांग कर ही चल रहा था। एक दिन, पांच दिन तक उसको भिक्षा नहीं मिली, और वह निराश होकर हर दिन भगवान के नाम का जाप करके सोती थी। छठे दिन, उसे दो मुट्ठी चने मिले। रात के आने पर, वह सोची कि वह चने रात के खाएगी और सुबह भगवान के लिए भोग लगाएगी। वह चने को कपड़े में बंधकर उसे रख दिया और भगवान के नाम का जाप करते हुए सो गई। कुछ समय बाद, कुछ चोर उसके आश्रम में आ गए, चोरी करने के इरादे से। वे चोर बहुत खोज करने के बावजूद उसे नहीं मिला, लेकिन वे चने की पोटली में सोने के सिक्के थे, इसलिए वे उसे चुरा लिया। ब्राह्मणी जाग उठी और चोरों को पकड़ने की कोशिश करने लगी, लेकिन चोर वही पोटली लेकर फरार हो गए। इस घड़ी खतरे से बचने के लिए चोर उस आश्रम से दूर भाग गए, और वे सभी उन्हें नहीं मिला। हालांकि, वे चने की पोटली को वहीं छोड़ दिया। सुबह होने पर, गुरु माता ने झाड़ू लगाने का काम शुरू किया और वही चने की पोटली मिली। गुरु माता ने पोटली खोलकर देखा कि वहां चने हैं। वह पोटली सुदामा को दे दी और कहा कि यदि भूख लगे तो इन्हें खा लो। सुदामा जन्मजात ब्रह्मज्ञानी थे और वे तुरंत समझ गए कि इस पोटली की महत्वपूर्ण बात क्या है। उन्होंने सोचा कि गुरु माता ने कहा है कि इसे दोनों को बराबर बांटकर खाना चाहिए, लेकिन यदि ये चने मैंने भगवान को खिला दिए तो सारी सृष्टि दरिद्र हो जाएगी। मैं ऐसा नहीं कर सकता, मेरे प्रिय भगवान को दरिद्र बनाने का दोषी नहीं बना सकता। तो इसी बात के डर से सुदामा ने सारे चने खुद खा लिए। दरिद्रता का श्राप सुदामा जी ने स्वयं ले लिया। लेकिन अपने मित्र श्री कृष्ण को एक भी दाना चने का नहीं दिया। ऐसे निभाई सुदामा ने अपनी दोस्ती और खुद बन गए गरीब। ************************************************************************************** Sudama ne Sab Kuch Jaan Kar Bhi Kyon Khaya Shraapit Chane aur Gareebi Ka Saamna Kiya? According to the scriptures, there was once a Brahmin who lived in abject poverty. She survived by begging for alms and led a very meager life. One day, she went without food for five days, and she would end her day by sipping water and chanting the name of God before sleeping. On the sixth day, she found two handfuls of chickpeas. It was evening, and she decided not to eat them then. Instead, she planned to offer them to God in the morning and then consume them. In the meantime, some thieves entered her hut with the intention of stealing. They searched everywhere but couldn't find anything except for the bag of chickpeas, which also had gold coins. They took the bag and fled because of the valuable contents. The Brahmin woke up, raised an alarm, and the entire village chased the thieves. They managed to escape but left the bag of chickpeas behind. To save themselves from getting caught, the thieves hid in the hermitage where Lord Krishna and Sudama were receiving education. After some time, they left, but they forgot about the bag of chickpeas. When the Brahmin discovered the bag in the morning, she was in a dilemma. She decided to eat the chickpeas, fearing the repercussions of using stolen goods. Sudama, who was spiritually enlightened, immediately understood the significance of the bag. He realized that it was meant for Krishna and that if he offered it to God, it could have the power to transform the entire creation into poverty. Sudama could not bear the thought of causing distress to his beloved Lord by making Him poor. Thus, Sudama consumed all the chickpeas himself, accepting the curse of poverty for the sake of his friendship.

एक राजा ने भगवान कृष्ण का एक मंदिर बनवाया और पूजा के लिए एक पुजारी को लगा दिया| पुजारी बड़े भाव से बिहारी जी की सेवा करने लगे| भगवान की पूजा-अर्चना और सेवा-टहल करते पुजारी की उम्र बीत गई| राजा रोज एक फूलों की माला सेवक के हाथ से भेजा करता था और पुजारी वह माला बिहारी जी को पहना देते थे| जब राजा दर्शन करने आता तो पुजारी वह माला बिहारी जी के गले से उतारकर राजा को पहना देते थे| यह रोज का नियम था|

एक दिन राजा किसी वजह से मंदिर नहीं जा सका| उसने एक सेवक से कहा- माला लेकर मंदिर जाओ| पुजारी से कहना आज मैं नहीं आ पाउंगा| सेवक ने जाकर माला पुजारी को दे दी और बता दिया कि आज महाराज का इंतजार न करें। सेवक वापस आ गया| पुजारी ने माला बिहारीजी को पहना दी फिर उन्हें विचार आया कि आज तक मैं अपने बिहारी जी की चढ़ी माला राजा को ही पहनाता रहा| कभी ये सौभाग्य मुझे नहीं मिला जीवन का कोई भरोसा नहीं कब रूठ जाए|

आज मेरे प्रभु ने मुझ पर बड़ी कृपा की है| राजा आज आएंगे नहीं, तो क्यों न माला मैं पहन लूं| यह सोचकर पुजारी ने बिहारीजी के गले से माला उतारकर स्वयं पहन ली. इतने में सेवक आया और उसने बताया कि राजा की सवारी बस मंदिर में पहुंचने ही वाली है| यह सुनकर पुजारी कांप गए. उन्होंने सोचा अगर राजा ने माला मेरे गले में देख ली तो मुझ पर क्रोधित होंगे। इस भय से उन्होंने अपने गले से माला उतारकर बिहारी जी को फिर से पहना दी|

जैसे ही राजा दर्शन को आया तो पुजारी ने नियम अुसार फिर से वह माला उतार कर राजा के गले में पहना दी| माला पहना रहे थे तभी राजा को माला में एक सफ़ेद बाल दिखा। राजा को सारा माजरा समझ में आ गया कि पुजारी ने माला स्वयं पहन ली थी और फिर निकालकर वापस डाल दी होगी| पुजारी ऐसा छल करता है, यह सोचकर राजा को बहुत गुस्सा आया उसने पुजारी जी से पूछा- पुजारी जी यह
सफ़ेद बाल किसका है?

पुजारी को लगा कि अगर सच बोलता हूं तो राजा दंड दे देंगे इसलिए जान छुड़ाने के लिए पुजारी ने कहा- महाराज यह सफ़ेद बाल तो बिहारीजी का है| अब तो राजा गुस्से से आग- बबूला हो गया कि ये पुजारी झूठ पर झूठ बोले जा रहा है. भला बिहारीजी के बाल भी कहीं सफ़ेद होते हैं| राजा ने कहा- पुजारी अगर यह सफेद बाल बिहारी जी का है तो सुबह शृंगार के समय मैं आउंगा और देखूंगा कि बिहारी जी के बाल सफ़ेद है या काले अगर बिहारी जी के बाल काले निकले तो आपको फांसी हो जाएगी|

राजा हुक्म सुनाकर चला गया. अब पुजारी रोकर बिहारी जी से विनती करने लगे- प्रभु मैं जानता हूं आपके सम्मुख मैंने झूठ बोलने का अपराध किया| अपने गले में डाली माला पुनः आपको पहना दी. आपकी सेवा करते-करते वृद्ध हो गया यह लालसा ही रही कि कभी आपको चढ़ी माला पहनने का सौभाग्य मिले| इसी लोभ में यह सब अपराध हुआ मेरे ठाकुरजी पहली बार यह लोभ हुआ और ऐसी विपत्ति आ पड़ी है मेरे नाथ. अब नहीं होगा ऐसा अपराध अब आप ही बचाइए नहीं तो कल सुबह मुझे फाँसी पर चढा दिया जाएगा|

पुजारी सारी रात रोते रहे सुबह होते ही राजा मंदिर में आ गया उसने कहा कि आज प्रभु का शृंगार वह स्वयं करेगा| इतना कहकर राजा ने जैसे ही मुकुट हटाया तो हैरान रह गया बिहारीजी के सारे बाल सफ़ेद थे. राजा को लगा, पुजारी ने जान बचाने के लिए बिहारीजी के बाल रंग दिए होंगे| गुस्से से तमतमाते हुए उसने बाल की जांच करनी चाही। बाल असली हैं या नकली, यह समझने के लिए उसने जैसे ही बिहारी जी के बाल तोडे, बिहारी जी के सिर से खून की धार बहने लगी|

राजा ने प्रभु के चरण पकड़ लिए और क्षमा मांगने लगा. बिहारी जी की मूर्ति से आवाज आई- राजा तुमने आज तक मुझे केवल मूर्ति ही समझा इसलिए आज से मैं तुम्हारे लिए मूर्ति ही हूँ| पुजारीजी मुझे साक्षात भगवान् समझते हैं उनकी श्रद्धा की लाज रखने के लिए आज मुझे अपने बाल सफेद करने पड़े व रक्त की धार भी बहानी पड़ी तुझे समझाने के लिए| यह कहानी किसी पुराण से तो नहीं है लेकिन इसका मर्म किसी पुराण की कथा से कम भी नहीं है. कहते हैं- समझो तो देव नहीं तो पत्थर. श्रद्धा हो तो उन्हीं पत्थरों में भगवान सप्राण होकर भक्त से मिलने आ जाएंगे

Ek samay ki baat hai, jab ek raja ne Bhagwan Krishna ke liye ek mandir banwaya aur uske puja ke liye ek pujari ko niyukt kiya. Pujari ne Bhagwan Krishna ki sewa me ananya bhakti se samay bitaya, saalon beet gaye.

Har din raja ek foolon ki mala ko mandir bhejne ki parampara thi. Pujari mala ko prabhu Krishna ki murti par rakhta tha. Yeh parampara saalon tak chali.

Ek din, kisi wajah se raja mandir nahi ja saka. Usne ek sevak ko bheja mala ko le jane ke liye. Jab sevak mandir pahuncha, pujari ne use bataya ki aaj raja nahi aayenge, isliye aap rukne ki zarurat nahi hai. Sevak bina mala chadhaye wapas chala gaya.

Pujari ne samjha ki yeh mauka hai jiska wo intezaar kar rahe the. Unhone mala khud pehn li soch kar, “Yeh mera mauka hai Bhagwan Krishna ke garland ko pehnne ka. Raja ko kuch pata nahi chalega.” Mala pahankar woh apne kaam me busy rahe, jante hue ki raja jaldi hi aayenge.

Jab raja mandir pahuncha, usne pujari se kaha ki Bhagwan Krishna ki murti se garland utar do. Pujari ne mala utari, aur raja ne garland me ek safed baal dekha. Raja ne poocha, “Yeh baal kiska hai is mala me?”

Agar main dekhoon ki Bhagwan Krishna ke baal safed hain ya kaale hain, toh tumhe saza di jayegi.”

Iss sakhti ki saza se darr kar pujari wapas apne baal mandir me lagane ki sochne lage. Lalach unhe apne paas mala pehnne ka mauka mil gaya hai, aur pujari ne socha ki raja kuch nahi samjhega. Isi soch me woh fir se mala pehn li.

Jab raja ne agle din mandir me Bhagwan Krishna ki alankaran ki shuruat ki, toh woh mala utarne par safed baal dekha. Raja hairaan hue, aur unhone pujari se pucha, “Yeh safed baal kiska hai mala me?”

Pujari, apne kiye ka natija bhugatne ke dar se, jawab diya, “Maharaj, yeh safed baal to Bhagwan Krishna ke hi hain.”

Raja ne gusse me samajha ki pujari unka tatva kya chipa raha hai. Unhone sakhti se kaha, “Agar yeh safed baal sach mein Bhagwan Krishna ke hain, toh main subah mandir aakar dekhunga ki Bhagwan Krishna ke baal kaale hain ya safed. Agar main yeh dekhta hoon ki Bhagwan Krishna ke baal kaale hain, toh tumhe dhoke se saza di jayegi.”

Iss sakhti ke saza ka samay aane par raja mandir chale gaye. Pujari, apne jhoothe wachanon ke parinam se dari huyi, Bhagwan Krishna ki murti ke samne ja kar mafi maangte hue mala utar di aur Bhagwan Krishna ki murti par rakh di.

Pujari ne poora raat bhagwan se mafi maangte hue vyatit ki, unhe saza se bachane ke liye ek chamatkar ki prarthna ki. Agle din, raja ne phir se mandir aane ka faisla liya Bhagwan Krishna ke alankaran ke dauraan.

Jab raja ne Bhagwan Krishna ki murti se mukut utara, toh unhe heran kar diya ki Bhagwan Krishna ke baal sach mein safed the. Raja ki shak thi, aur pujari sach bol rahe the. Bhagwan Krishna ke divya sannidhya ne unke baal safed kar diye, pujari ki nirdoshata ka saboot dete hue.

Raja ne Bhagwan Krishna ke charan pakad liye aur mafi maangne lage. Is din se, pujari ko adar diya gaya, aur raja ne unke bhakti ka mahatva samjha. Yeh kahani hame yeh sikhata hai ki sachchi bhakti aur shraddha riti-rivazon se upar hoti hai. Bhagwan hamare dil ki ikshaon ko dekhte hain aur imandari aur bhakti ko sabse upar rakhte hain.

Tale of Shri Banke Bihari Ji – Who is Supreme Faith or Devotion?

Once, there was a king who built a temple for Lord Krishna and appointed a priest to conduct the rituals and serve the deity. The priest, with great devotion, began to serve Lord Krishna. As he performed the rituals and services, he grew older.

Every day, the king used to send a garland of flowers through a servant, and the priest would place it on the idol of Lord Krishna. The king had a rule that when he came to see the idol, the priest should be the one to put the garland on him. This was the routine.

One day, the king couldn’t visit the temple for some reason, and he instructed a servant to take the garland to the priest. The priest, for the first time, thought, “I’ve never had the privilege of wearing this garland myself. Life is so uncertain. What if I never get the chance?”

He had a moment of greed and decided to wear the garland himself. He removed it from the deity and wore it around his own neck. When the king’s servant arrived, he was informed that the priest couldn’t put the garland on the king today. The servant returned.

Later, the priest realized the mistake he had made due to his greed. He understood that this was the first time he had acted out of desire, and it had brought a calamity upon him. He feared that his actions would anger the king.

The next morning, when the king was about to visit the temple, the priest decided to put the garland back on the deity, hoping to hide his greed and avoid the king’s wrath. As he removed the garland from his own neck and placed it on the idol, a white hair from the garland got stuck on the idol.

When the king came and saw the white hair on the idol, he was puzzled. He thought, “This hair doesn’t belong to the priest; it must be Krishna’s. But why would Lord Krishna have a white hair?” In his curiosity, the king decided to examine it. As he touched the hair, to his astonishment, it began to bleed.

Realizing that it was a sign from Lord Krishna, the king fell to his knees and asked for forgiveness. He confessed to the priest his mistake and begged him to forgive him. The priest revealed the truth about his own greed and the mistake he had made. The king, humbled by the incident, forgave the priest, and they continued their devotion to Lord Krishna with renewed sincerity.

This story teaches us the importance of humility, devotion, and the consequences of acting out of greed. It also emphasizes the belief that genuine faith and devotion are more important than rituals and ceremonies.
