Sakat Chauth Dvitiya Katha

Ek din ladki ki maa ne kaha: ” Main tumhe achha khilati hu, achhe kapde pehanati hu, phir bhi tu sukh rahi hai? Aisa kyun?” Tab ladki ne apni maa ko bataya ki jab bhi woh jungle me ghaas lene jaati hai to pipal ke ped par baitha aadmi kehta hai, “Oh meri ardhabhyahi patni.” Usne mehndi laga rakhi hai aur sehra bhi bandh rakha hai to uski maa ne pipal ke ped ke paas jaakar dekha to woh uska damad tha. Tab uski maa ne apne damad se kaha: “Tum yahaan kyun baithen ho? Meri beti ki to ardhabhyahi kar di aur ab kya loge?” Sahukarni ke bete ne kaha: ” Meri maa ne “Chauth ka tilakut” kaha tha, lekin unhonne aisa nahi kiya, isliye chauth bhagwan naaraj ho gaye aur mujhe yahaan bita ke chod gaye.”
Jab ladki ki maa ne yeh suna to woh sahukarni ke ghar gayi aur usse poocha ki kya usne sakat chaus ka kuch bola hai kya? Tab sahukarni ne kaha: “Tilakut bola tha.” Tab sahukarni ne kaha ki agar uska beta vaapas aa jaega to woh dhai man tilakut karungi. Isse bhagwaan ganesh prasann hue aur unhone apne putra ko feron me baarat me laker baitha diya. Unke bete ki shaadi dhoom-dhaam se ho gayi. Jab sahukarni ka beta aur bahu ghar aaye to sahukarni ne dhai man tilakut kiya aur boli “Hey chauth dev! Aapka dhanyawad, mera beta aur bahu ghar laut aaye hai. Isliye main hamesha tirakut karke vrat karungi. Uske baad, shahar ke sabhi nivasi tilakut ke saath sakat vrat karna prarambh kar diya.” Hey sakat chauth! Sakat Chauth teesri katha
Ek din Mahadevji Parvati ke saath Narmada ke tatt par gaye. Wahan ek sundar sthan par Parvatiji ne Mahadevji ke saath Chaupad khelne ki ichha prakat ki. Tab Shivji ne kaha hamari jeet ya haar ka gawah kaun hoga? Parvati ne turant wahan ghaas ke tinke ekatr kiye aur ek chavi banai. Use ashirwad dete hue usne usse kaha: “Beta!” Ham Chaupad khelna chahte hain, parantu yahan haar-jeet dekhne wala koi nahi hai. To khel ke ant mein kya aap hamari jeet aur hamari haar dekhenge aur hamein bataenge ki hamme se kaun jeeta aur kaun haara? Khel shuru ho gaya hai. Sanyogvash teenon baar Parvati ji ki vijay hui. Ant mein jab balak se haar-jeet ka nirnay karaya gaya to usne Mahadevji ko vijeta bataya. Parinaamswaroop, Parvatiji krodhit ho gayi aur unhein ek pair se langda kar kichad mein pade rahne ka kasht sahne ka shraap de diya.
Balak ne namrata purvak kaha: “Maa! Yah meri ajnanta ke karan aisa ho gaya hai. Maine dvesh ya durbhavna se aisa nahi kiya. Mujhe kshama karen aur shap se mukti ka koi upay bataen.” Tab Mamatarupi mata ko us par daya aa gayi aur boli- yahan nag kanyaaen Ganesh poojan ke liye aayengi. Unki updesh se tum Ganesh ji ka vrat karke shighra hi mujhe prapt karoge. Yah kahkar wah Kailash parvat par chali gayi. Ek saal baad, Shravan ke dauran, nag kanyaaen Ganesh ki pooja karne ke liye yahan aayin. Nag kanyaaon ne Ganesh ji ka vrat kiya aur vrat ki vidhi balak ko batayi. Iske baad balak ne 12 din tak Shri Ganesh ka vrat kiya. Tab Ganeshji uske samne prakat hue aur kaha: “Main tumhare vrat se prasann hoon. Manovanchit var mangao. Balak ne kaha: Prabhu! Mere pairo ko itni shakti do ki mein Kailash parvat par apne mata-pita ke paas pahunch sakun aur ve mujhpar prasann ho jayen.
Ganeshji ne tathastu kaha aur antardhaan ho gaye. Balak Bhagwan Shiv ke charano mein pahunch gaya. Bhagwan Shiv ne unse waah tak pahunchne ke sadhan ke baare mein poocha. Tab balak ne Bhagwan Shiv ko saari katha suna di. Iss beech, usi din Parvati aprasann ho gayi aur us din bhi Bhagwan Shiv se vimukh ho gayi. Iske baad Bhagwan Shankar ne bhi balak ki bhaanti Ganeshji ke saath 21 din tak vrat kiya. Atah Parvati ko swyam Mahadeviji se milne ki iccha hui. Sheeghra hi woh Kailash parvat par pahunch gayi. Jab Parvati ji wah pahunchi to unhone Shivji se poocha, “Prabho!” Aapne aisa kaun-sa upay kiya jiski phalswarup main aapke paas bhagi-bhagi aa gayi hoon?” Bhagwan Shiv ne unhen Ganesh vrat ki katha sunayi. Tab Parvati ji ne apne putra Kartikey se milne ki ichcha se 21 dino tak 21-21 dhoorva, phoolon aur ladduon se Bhagwan Ganesh ki puja ki. 21wein din Kartikey swyam akar Parvati ji se mile. Apni ma se vrat ka mahatva jaankar unhone bhi vrat rakha.

सकट चौथ प्रथम कथा
कहा जाता है कि सत्ययुग में राजा हरिश्चंद्र के राज्य में एक कुम्हार रहता था। एक दिन, जब तमाम कोशिशों के बावजूद जब उसके बर्तन कच्चे रह जा रहे थे, तो उसने पुजारी को इसके बारे में बताया। पुजारी ने कहा कि यह समस्या केवल एक छोटे बच्चे की बलि देकर ही हल की जा सकती है। कुम्हार ने एक बालक को उठाकर आंवा में रख दिया। वह सकट चौथ का दिन था। जब काफी तलाश के बाद भी उनकी मां को उनका बेटा नहीं मिला तो उन्होंने सच्चे मन से भगवान गणेश से प्रार्थना की। उधर, सुबह जब कुम्हार उठा तो उसने देखा कि अमवा में उसके बर्तन तो पक चुके हैं, लेकिन बच्चा भी सुरक्षित है। इस घटना के बाद कुम्हार डर गया और राजा के पास गया और उसे पूरी कहानी बताई। इसके बाद राजा ने बालक और उसकी मां को बुलाया तो मां ने संकटों को दूर करने वाली सकट चौथ की महिमा का वर्णन किया। तभी से महिलाएं अपने बच्चों और परिवार की खुशहाली और लंबी उम्र के लिए व्रत रखती हैं।
सकट चौथ द्वितीय कथा
एक साहूकार और साहूकारनी थे । वह धर्म और सदाचार में विश्वास नहीं रखते थे। इस कारण उनकी कोई संतान नहीं थी। एक दिन साहूकारनी अपनी पड़ोसन के घर गई। उस दिन सकट चौथ थी, उसकी एक पड़ोसन सकट चौथ की पूजा कर रही थी और कथा सुना रही थी। साहूकारनी ने पड़ोसन से पूछा: तुम क्या कर रहे हो? तब पड़ोसन ने बताया कि आज सकट चौथ का व्रत है और मैं यह कथा सुना रही हूं. तब साहूकारनी बोली- सकट चौथ का व्रत करने से क्या होगा? तब पड़ोसी ने कहा: इससे तुम्हें भोजन, धन, विवाह और पुत्र मिलेगा। तब साहूकारनी ने कहा: यदि मैं गर्भवती रहूंगी तो में सवा सेर तिलकुट करुँगी और चौथ का व्रत करुँगी। भगवान श्रीगणेश की कृपा से साहूकारनी के गर्भ रह गया। तो उन्होंने कहा कि अगर मेरा बेटा हुआ तो में ढाई सेर तिलकुट करुँगी. कुछ दिनों बाद जब उसने एक लड़के को जन्म दिया तो उसने कहा, “हे चौथ भगवान!” जब मेरे बेटे की शादी होगी तो मैं सवा पांच सेर का तिलकुट करुँगी।
कुछ साल बाद उनके बेटे की शादी तय हुई और बेटा शादी करने चला गया । लेकिन उस साहूकारनी ने तिलकुट नहीं किया इससे चौथ देव क्रोधित हो गए और उन्होंने पुत्र को फेरो के बीच से छीनकर पीपल के पेड़ पर बैठा दिया। सभी लोग दूल्हे को ढूंढने गए, लेकिन वह नहीं मिला और सभी निराश होकर घर लौट आए। इधर साहूकारनी का बेटा जिस लड़की से विवाह करना चाहता था वह अपनी सहेलियों के साथ गणगौर पूजने के लिए जंगल में गई। तभी रास्ते में पीपल के पेड़ से आवाज सुनाई दी: हे मेरे प्रिय! जब लड़की ने यह सुना और घर आई तो वह धीरे-धीरे सूखने लगी। एक दिन लड़की की माँ ने कहा: मैं तुम्हें अच्छा खिलाती हूँ, अच्छे कपड़े पहनाती हूँ, फिर भी तू सूखती जा रही है? ऐसा क्यों? तब लड़की ने अपनी मां को बताया कि जब भी वह जंगल में घास लेने जाती है तो पीपल के पेड़ पर बैठा आदमी कहता है, “ओह मेरी अर्धब्यहि पत्नी।”उसने मेहँदी लगा राखी है और सेहरा भी बांध रखा है तब उसकी मां ने पीपल के पेड़ के पास जाकर देखा तो वह उसका दामाद था। तब उसकी माँ ने अपने दामाद से कहा: “तुम यहाँ क्यों बैठे हो?” मेरी बेटी की तो अर्धब्यहि कर दी और अब क्या लोगे? साहूकार के बेटे ने कहा: मेरी माँ ने “चौथ का तिलकुट” कहा था, लेकिन उन्होंने ऐसा नहीं किया, इसलिए चौथ भगवान नाराज हो गए और मुझे यहाँ बिठा के छोड़ गए।
जब लड़की की मां ने यह सुना तो वह साहूकारनी के घर गई और उससे पूछा कि क्या उसने सकट चौस का कुछ बोला है क्या? । तब साहूकारनी ने कहा: तिलकुट बोला था। तब साहूकारनी ने कहा कि अगर उसका बेटा वापस आएगा तो वह ढाई मन तिलकुट करुँगी। इससे भगवान गणेश प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने अपने पुत्र को फेरों में बारात में लाकर बैठा दिया। उनके बेटे की शादी धूमधाम से हो गई। जब साहूकारनी का बेटा और बहू घर आए तो साहूकारनी ने ढाई मन तिलकुट किया और बोली हे चौथ देव! : आपका धन्यवाद, मेरा बेटा और बहू घर लौट आए हैं। इसलिए मैं हमेशा तिरकुट करके व्रत करुँगी उसके बाद, शहर के सभी निवासी तिलकुट के साथ सकट व्रत करना प्रारम्भ कर दिया । हे सकट चौथ! जैसे आपने साहूकारनी को अपने बेटे और बहू से मिलवाया, कृपया हम सभी को मिलवाएं। कृपया इस कहानी को सुनने और पड़ने वालों पर भी कृपा करें।

सकट चौथ तृतीय कथा
एक दिन महादेवजी पार्वती के साथ नर्मदा के तट पर गये। वहाँ एक सुन्दर स्थान पर पार्वतीजी ने महादेवजी के साथ चौपड़ खेलने की इच्छा प्रकट की। तब शिवजी ने कहा हमारी जीत या हार का गवाह कौन होगा? पार्वती ने तुरंत वहां घास के तिनके एकत्र किए और एक छवि बनाई। उसे आशीर्वाद देते हुए उसने उससे कहा: “बेटा!” हम चौपड़ खेलना चाहते हैं, परंतु यहां हार-जीत देखने वाला कोई नहीं है। तो खेल के अंत में क्या आप हमारी जीत और हमारी हार देखेंगे और हमें बताएंगे कि हममें से कौन जीता और कौन हारा? खेल शुरू हो गया है. संयोगवश तीनों बार पार्वती जी की विजय हुई। अंत में जब बालक से हार-जीत का निर्णय कराया गया तो उसने महादेवजी को विजेता बताया। परिणामस्वरूप, पार्वतीजी क्रोधित हो गईं और उन्हें एक पैर से लंगड़ा कर कीचड़ में पड़े रहने का कष्ट सहने का श्राप दे दिया।
बालक ने नम्रतापूर्वक कहाः माँ! यह मेरी अज्ञानता के कारण ऐसा हो गया है। मैंने द्वेष या दुर्भावना से ऐसा नहीं किया. मुझे क्षमा करें और शाप से मुक्ति का कोई उपाय बताएं। तब ममतारूपी माता को उस पर दया आ गई और बोली- यहाँ नाग कन्याएं गणेश पूजन के लिए आएंगी। उनकी उपदेश से तुम गणेश जी का व्रत करके शीघ्र ही मुझे प्राप्त करोगे। यह कहकर वह कैलाश पर्वत पर चली गयी। एक साल बाद, श्रावण के दौरान, नाग कन्याएँ गणेश की पूजा करने के लिए यहाँ आईं। नाग कन्याओं ने गणेश जी का व्रत किया और व्रत की विधि बालक को बताई। इसके बाद बालक ने 12 दिन तक श्री गणेश का व्रत किया। तब गणेशजी उसके सामने प्रकट हुए और कहा: “मैं तुम्हारे व्रत से प्रसन्न हूं।” मनोवांछित वर मांगो। बालक ने कहाः प्रभु! मेरे पैरों को इतनी शक्ति दो कि मैं कैलाश पर्वत पर अपने माता-पिता के पास पहुँच सकूँ और वे मुझपर प्रसन्न हो जाएँ।
गणेशजी ने तथास्तु कहा और अन्तर्धान हो गये। बालक भगवान शिव के चरणों में पहुंच गया। भगवान शिव ने उनसे वहां तक पहुंचने के साधन के बारे में पूछा। तब बालक ने भगवान शिव को सारी कथा सुना दी। इस बीच, उसी दिन पार्वती अप्रसन्न हो गईं और उस दिन भी भगवान शिव से विमुख हो गईं। इसके बाद भगवान शंकर ने भी बालक की भांति गणेश जी के साथ 21 दिन तक व्रत किया। अत: पार्वती को स्वयं महदवीजी से मिलने की इच्छा हुई। शीघ्र ही वह कैलाश पर्वत पर पहुंच गई। जब पार्वतीजी वहां पहुंचीं तो उन्होंने शिवजी से पूछा, “प्रभो!” आपने ऐसा कौन-सा उपाय किया जिसके फलस्वरूप मैं आपके पास भागी-भागी आ गई हूँ। भगवान शिव ने उन्हें गणेश व्रत की कथा सुनाई. तब पार्वतीजी ने अपने पुत्र कार्तिकेय से मिलने की इच्छा से 21 दिनों तक 21-21 दूर्वा, फूलों और लड्डुओं से भगवान गणेश की पूजा की। 21वें दिन कार्तिकेय स्वयं आकर पार्वतीजी से मिले। अपनी मां से व्रत का महत्व जानकर उन्होंने भी व्रत रखा।

After this, the king called the boy and his mother, and the mother described the glory of Sakat Chauth, which can ward off all the troubles. Since then, women keep a fast on Sakat Chauth for the happiness and longevity of their children and family.
Sakat Chauth Second Story
There was a banker and his wife who did not believe in religion and morals. They had no children. One day, the banker’s wife went to her neighbor’s house. It was Sakat Chauth day, and her neighbor was doing the puja and telling the story. The banker’s wife asked her what she was doing, and her neighbor said that it was the Sakat Chauth fast day, and she was listening to the story. Then the banker’s wife asked, “What will happen if I keep the Sakat Chauth fast?” Her neighbor replied, “You will get food, wealth, marriage, and a child.” The banker’s wife said, “If I get pregnant, then I will put on tilak of 1.25 ser (unit of measure) and keep the fast of Chauth.” Due to Lord Ganesha’s grace, the banker’s wife became pregnant. So she said, “If my son was born, then I will put on tilak of 2.5 ser.” After a few days, when she gave birth to a boy, she said, “Hey Chauth Bhagwan! When my son gets married, I will put on tilak of 1.75 ser.”
A few years later, the son’s marriage was fixed and he went to get married. However, the mother-in-law did not do the tilak which angered the fourth god and they took the son away and sat him under a peepal tree. Everyone went to find the groom, but he could not be found and everyone returned home disappointed. On the other hand, the son of the mother-in-law who wanted to marry the girl went to the jungle with his friends to celebrate Ganagaur pooja. Then he heard a voice from the peepal tree on the way, “Oh my dear!” When the girl heard this and returned home, she began to gradually wither away. One day the girl’s mother said, “I feed you well, dress you well, but why are you still withering away?” Then the girl told her mother that whenever she goes to graze in the jungle, the man sitting on the peepal tree says, “Oh my half-wife.” She has applied mehendi and has worn the sehra. Then her mother went to the peepal tree to see and found that he was her son-in-law. Then her mother told her son-in-law, “Why are you sitting here?” My daughter was half-married, what do you want now? The son of the mother-in-law said, “My mother said ’tilakut’, but she did not do it, so the fourth god got angry and left me here.” When the girl’s mother heard this, she went to the mother-in-law’s house and asked if she said anything about ‘sakat chaouth’. Then the mother-in-law said, “I said ’tilakut’.”
Then the mother-in-law said that if her son came back, she would do the ’tilakut’ for three and a half days. This pleased Lord Ganesha and he brought her son back in a baraat. Her son’s wedding was celebrated with great pomp. When the mother-in-law’s son and daughter-in-law returned home, she did the ’tilakut’ for three and a half days and said, ‘Hey Chauth God! Thank you for reuniting me with my son and daughter-in-law. That is why I will always observe the ’tilakut’ fast. After that, all the residents of the city began to observe the ‘sakat chaouth’ fast with ’tilakut’. Oh Sakat Chaouth! Just as you reunited the mother-in-law with her son and daughter-in-law, please reunite us all. Please be kind to those who listen to and read this story. Say victory to Sakat Chauth. Sakat Chauth Third Story
One day, Lord Shiva and Parvati went to the banks of the Narmada river. There, Parvati expressed her desire to play a game of “Chopad” with Lord Shiva. Shiva asked, “Who will be the witness of our victory or defeat?” Parvati quickly gathered some blades of grass and made an image out of them. Blessing the image, she said, “Son, we want to play Chopad but there is no one here to watch the victory or defeat. So, at the end of the game, will you watch and tell us who won and who lost?” The game began and coincidentally, Parvati won three times in a row. In the end, when the boy was asked to decide the winner, he declared Lord Shiva as the winner. As a result, Parvati became angry and gave him a curse to limp on one leg and live in the mud.
The boy humbly said, “Mother, this happened because of my ignorance, I did not do this out of hatred or malice. Please forgive me and tell me a way to get rid of the curse.” Then, the motherly form of Parvati was filled with compassion and said, “The snake maidens will come here to perform the puja of Lord Ganesha. By following their advice and observing the fast of Lord Ganesha, you will get rid of the curse soon.” Saying this, she went to the Kailash mountain. A year later, during the Shravan month, the snake maidens came there to worship Lord Ganesha. They observed the fast and told the boy about the fast’s rituals. After that, the boy observed the fast of Lord Ganesha for 12 days. Lord Ganesha appeared in front of him and said, “I am pleased with your fast. Ask for a desired boon.” The boy said, “Lord, give my feet so much strength that I am able to reach my parents on the Kailash mountain and make them happy.”
Ganeshji said “Tathastu” and disappeared. The boy reached Lord Shiva’s feet. Lord Shiva asked him about the means he had used to reach there. The boy then narrated the entire story to Lord Shiva. Meanwhile, on the same day, Parvati became unhappy and was also displeased with Lord Shiva. After this, Lord Shiva also fasted with Lord Ganesh for 21 days like the boy. Hence, Parvati desired to meet Lord Shiva herself. She quickly arrived at Mount Kailash where she asked Lord Shiva, “Lord, what did you do that I kept coming to you again and again?” Lord Shiva then told her the story of the Ganesh Chaturthi fast. Parvati then fasted for 21 days using 21 Durvas, flowers and laddus to worship Lord Ganesh. On the 21st day, Kartikeya himself came to meet Parvati. After learning about the significance of the fast from his mother, he also observed it himself.
