Budhiya ki baat sunakar Diya ki maa bole- Yahaan jungle mein sankatamata rahti hai, tum unhein apna dukh batao aur unse prarthana karo. Meri toh sab karta-dharta sankata mata hai meri rai mein, aapko sankata mata se mafi mangni chahiye aur unhi ki maan-manauti se tumhara kaam ban jayega.” Sabhi buri samasyayein swatah hi theek ho jati hain. Ramnath ki patni ki baten sunkar rani ne nishswarth bhav se sankata mata ka vrat kiya aur suhagin striyon ko jeema kar, sankata mata se bar-bar anjaane mein hui galatiyon ke liye kshama mangi. संकटा माता व्रत कथा
एक समय की बात है एक बुढ़िया थी, उस बुढ़िया का रामनाथ नाम का एक बेटा था। रामनाथ पैसा कमाने के लिए विदेश चला गया। अपने बेटे के विदेश चले जाने के बाद बुढ़िया बहुत चिंतित और दुखी रहती थी, क्योंकि उसकी बहू उसे हर दिन अपमानित करती थी, इसलिए बुढ़िया चिंतित और दुखी रहती थी और हर दिन घर के सामने कुएं पर जाकर रोती थी। बुढ़िया का यह क्रम प्रतिदिन चलता रहा। एक दिन दीया की मां नाम की एक महिला कुएं से बाहर आई और बुढ़िया से पूछा, “बूढ़ी मां, तुम बैठ कर क्यों रो रही हो?” आप किस चिंता में हैं? तुम मुझे अपना दुःख बताओ मैं तुम्हारे दुःख दूर करने का प्रयत्न करूंगी” जब बुढ़िया ने महिला का सवाल सुना तो उसने कोई जवाब नहीं दिया और रोती रही। दीया की मां बार-बार सवाल दोहराती रही। इससे बुढ़िया को गुस्सा आ गया और उसने दीया की मां से कहा, “तुम मुझे बार-बार ऐसा क्यों पूछ रही हो क्या सचमुच ही तुम मेरा दुःख जानकर उसे दूर कर दोगी, बुढ़िया की बात सुनकर दीया की माँ ने उत्तर दिया: “मैं निश्चित रूप से तुम्हारे दुख को कम करने का प्रयास करूंगी।” दिए की माँ से यह आश्वासन पाकर बुढ़िया बोली, “मेरा बेटा पैसा कमाने के लिए परदेस चला गया।” मेरी बहू मेरा अपमान करती है। यही मेरे दुःख का कारण है। बुढ़िया की बात सुनकर दीया की माँ बोली- यहीं जंगल में संकटा माता रहती हैं, तुम उन्हें अपना दुःख बताओ और उनसे प्रार्थना करो । माँ बहुत दयालु है, दुःखियों के प्रति बहुत सहानुभूति रखती हैं। माँ यह सुनिश्चित करती है कि नि:संतान को संतान होगी, गरीब अमीर हो जाएगा, कमजोर मजबूत हो जाएगा और दुर्भाग्यशाली खुश हो जाएगा।
उनके आशीर्वाद से सुखी स्त्रियों का भाग्य अचल हो जाता है, अविवाहित लड़कियों को मनपसंद पति मिलता है, बीमार लोगों को रोगों से मुक्ति मिलती है और इसके अलावा वे सभी मनोकामनाएं पूरी करते हैं, इसमें भी कोई संदेह नहीं है। दीया की मां से ऐसी अजीब बातें सुनकर बुढ़िया संकटा माता के पास गई और उनके चरणों में गिरकर विलाप करने लगी। संकटा माता ने बुढ़िया से दयापूर्वक पूछा। बुढ़िया दादी, तुम इतनी उदास होकर क्यों रो रही हो? बुढ़िया ने कहा: हे माता! आप तो सब कुछ जानती हो आप से तो कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है, आप मेरे दुःख को दूर करने का आश्वासन दें तो मैं अपनी दुःखद गाथा आप को सुनाऊं। बुढ़िया की बात सुनकर संकटा माता बोलीं- पहले मुझे अपना दुःख बताओ। जो लोग दुखी हैं उनका दुःख कम करना मेरा कर्तव्य है। जब संकटा माता ने यह कहा तो बुढ़िया ने कहा, “हे माता मेरा लड़का परदेस चला गया है उसके घर में ना रहने से मेरी बहू मुझे बहुत तरह-तरह की सुनाया करती है।” उसकी बातें मुझसे सहन नहीं होती। इसी कारण परेशान होकर मैं बार-बार रोया करती हूँ। बुढ़िया की इस दर्द भरी कथा को सुनकर संकटा माता ने कहा। बुढ़िया की हृदय विदारक कहानी सुनकर संकटा माता ने कहा, “घर जाओ और मेरी पूजा के दिन अपने बेटे के सुरक्षित घर लौटने के लिए प्रार्थना करो। मेरी पूजा के दिन सुहागन स्त्रियों को आमंत्रित कर उन्हें भोजन कराना ऐसा करने से तुम्हारा लड़का अवश्य ही वह आपके पास जरूर आएगा. संकटा माता के निर्देशानुसार बुढ़िया ने प्रार्थना की, पूजा की और विवाहित महिलाओं को रात के खाने के लिए आमंत्रित किया, लेकिन अजीब बात यह है कि जब बुढ़िया ने महिलाओं के लिए सात लड्डू बनाना शुरू किया… तो कुछ अजीब हुआ कि उसकी जगह आठ लड्डू बन गए। . . इससे बुढ़िया सचमुच असमंजस में पड़ गई कि ऐसा क्यों हुआ? या फिर अकेले 8 लड्डुओं का भोग लगाने का कोई और कारण है?
उसी समय संकटा माता बुढ़िया के रूप में उसके सामने प्रकट हुईं और बुढ़िया से पूछा- क्यों बुढ़िया, क्या आज तुम्हारे घर पर कोई उत्सव है क्या? यह सुनकर बुढ़िया बोली, “आज मैंने संकटा माता की पूजा की और विवाहित स्त्रियों को भोजन के लिए आमंत्रित किया, लेकिन जब गिन कर सात लड्डू बनाती हूँ तो वे लड्डू अपने आप ही आठ बन जाते हैं मैं इसी बात से चिंता में पड़ गई हूँ।” बुढ़िया की बात सुनकर संकटा माता ने पूछा: क्या आपने बड़ी उम्र की महिला को भी आमंत्रित किया है? बुढ़िया ने कहा: नहीं, मैंने ऐसा नहीं किया, लेकिन तुम कौन हो? संकटा माता बोलीं मैं एक वृद्ध महिला हूं, मुझे ही आमंत्रित कर लो। जब बुढ़िया ने यह बात सुनी तो उसने संकटा माता को ही भोजन करने के लिए आमंत्रित किया। इसके बाद घर पर आमंत्रित सभी मेहमान बुढ़िया के घर पहुंचे और बुढ़िया ने सभी को लड्डू और अन्य मिठाइयां खिलाईं। इससे संकटा माता इस बुढ़िया से बहुत प्रसन्न हुईं और माता की दया से बुढ़िया के बेटे के मन में अपनी मां और पत्नी को जानने की इच्छा जागृत हुई और वह घर चला गया। कुछ दिनों बाद बुढ़िया संकटा माता की पूजा करके सुहागिन स्त्रियों को भोजन परोस रही थी तभी किसी ने उसे अपने पुत्र के आगमन की सूचना दी, लेकिन बुढ़िया अपना काम करती रही। वो बोली- लड़के को बैठने दो, मैं सुहागिनों को जीमा कर अभी आती हूँ. जब लड़के की बहू ने अपने पति के आने की खबर सुनी तो वह तुरंत पति के स्वागत के लिए तुरंत घर की ओर चल दी। लड़के ने अपनी पत्नी की ओर देखा और मन ही मन सोचा: “मेरी पत्नी मुझसे कितना प्यार करती है, जो यह खबर मिलते ही मुझसे मिलने आ गई, लेकिन मेरी माँ यह खबर मिलने के बाद भी मुझसे मिलने नहीं आई।
पूजा के बाद सभी सुहागिने महिलाएं खाना खाकर अपने घर लौट गईं। बुढ़िया अपने बेटे को देखने के लिए उसकी ओर आई। जब उसकी माँ आई तो लड़के ने पूछा: माँ अब तक कहां थी । माँ ने कहा, “बेटा, मैंने संकटा माता से तुम्हारी कुशलता की कामना की थी, उसी को पूरा करने के लिए सुहागने जीमा रही थी। संकटा माता की कृपा से उसका मन अपनी पत्नी से हट गया उसने माँ से कहा: माँ या तो मैं यहां रहूँगा या यह रहेगी।, बुढ़िया ने कहा, बेटा, मैंने तुम्हें बहुत तपस्या से पाया है, इसलिए मैं तुम्हें नहीं छोड़ सकती।” इसीलिए चाहे बहू का त्याग भी करना पड़े मैं कर सकती हूँ। अतः लड़के ने अपनी स्त्री को घर से निकाल दिया घर से निकल कर बाहर आई तो बहुत दुःखी मन से एक पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे बैठकर रोने लगी । एक राजा वहाँ से गुजरा और उसे रोते हुए देखा और उससे पूछा, “तुम क्यों रो रही हो?” तब उसने राजा को अपनी सारी समस्या बताई। राजा ने कहा: आज से तुम मेरी धर्मनिष्ठ बहन हो, इसलिए रोओ मत, मैं तुम्हारी सभी समस्याओं का समाधान करने का प्रयास करूंगा। यह कहकर राजा उस स्त्री को महल में ले आए। महल में जाने के बाद, राजा ने रानी को पूरी कहानी सुनाई और रानी को कहा: देखो आज से मेरी यह धर्म बहन है इसी महल में रहेगी और इसको किसी भी प्रकार का कष्ट नहीं होना चाहिए। राजा के यहां पहुंचकर कुछ दिन बाद रामनाथ की पत्नी ने धर्म से प्रेरित होकर संकटा माता का व्रत शुरू किया, उसने विवाहित महिलाओं को भोजन के साथ आमंत्रित किया और रानी को भी आमंत्रित किया जब सभी सुहागिने लड्डू खाने लगी तो रानी ने कहा: मुझे तो रबड़ी, मलाई और स्वादिष्ट मिष्ठान ही हजम होते हैं यह पत्थर समान लड्डू कैसे हजम होंगे। ऐसी अवहेलना पूर्ण बातें कहकर रानी ने लड्डू खाने से मना कर दिया।
कुछ समय बाद संकटा माता की कृपा से रामनाथ अपनी पत्नी की तलाश में राजा के महल में आये। जब वह वहां पहुंचा और अपनी पत्नी को संकटा माता की पूजा करते देखा तो उसने हाथ जोड़कर संकटा माता को प्रणाम किया और अपनी पत्नी से कहा, प्रिये, कृपया मेरे अपराध को क्षमा करें। महिला ने कहा: नाथ, यह सब प्रारब्ध के कारण है, इसमें आपकी कोई गलती नहीं है। आप तो मेरे लिए भगवान हैं। मुझे मेरे अपराध के लिए क्षमा करें। इतना कहकर उन दोनों ने जल्दी से संकटा माता की कथा सुनी और संकटा माता को प्रणाम किया। पूजा पूरी होने और सुहागिनों के स्वागत के बाद पति-पत्नी घर जाने के लिए तैयार हो गए। जाते समय रामनाथ की पत्नी ने राजा और रानी से कहा, “जब मैं संकट में थी तो आपने मुझे भिक्षुणी बनाकर मेरी रक्षा की।” यदि आपको किसी सहायता की आवश्यकता हो तो बेझिझक मेरे कुटिया पर चले आना। इतना कहकर पति-पत्नी अपने घर चले गए संकटा माता के प्रसाद का निरादर करने के कारण रानी पर भारी संकट आ पड़ा, जिससे रानी को बड़ी परेशानी हुई। रामनाथ की बहू के जाते ही उसका राज्य नष्ट हो गया। जब वह ऐसी मुसीबत में फंस गई तो उसने राजा से कहा: “मुझे नहीं पता कि वह किस तरह की धार्मिक बहन थी उसके यहां से जाते ही सब कुछ नष्ट हो गया।” रानी ने राजा से कहा: जब वह जा रही थी तो उसने कहा कि जब मुझे कोई परेशानी होती है तो मैं आपके पास आती हूं और अगर आपको कोई परेशानी हो तो आप मेरे घर आ जाना, इसलिए हमें भी उन्हीं के पास जाना चाहिए। यह विचार करके राजा और रानी अपनी बहन के घर गये। वहाँ रानी ने कहा, “बहन, तुम्हारे जाने से क्या हुआ, हमारी सारी संपत्ति नष्ट हो गयी और हम बड़े संकट में पड़ गये।”
रानी की बात सुनकर रामनाथ की पत्नी बोली, “बहन, मैं कुछ नहीं जानती। मेरी तो सब कर्ता-धर्ता संकटा माता है मेरी राय में, आपको संकटा माता से माफी मांगनी चाहिए और उन्हीं की मान मनौती से तुम्हारा काम बन जाएगा।” सभी बुरी समस्याएँ स्वतः ही ठीक हो जाती हैं। रामनाथ की पत्नी की बातें सुनकर रानी ने निःस्वार्थ भाव से संकटा माता का व्रत किया और सुहागिन स्त्रियों को जीमा कर, संकटा माता से बार-बार अनजाने में हुई गलतियों के लिए क्षमा मांगी। ऐसा करते ही संकटा माता प्रसन्न हो गईं और रात को स्वप्न में रानी से कहा, “कि तुम दोनों पति-पत्नी महल में जाकर मेरी पूजा करो और मेरे निमित्त सुहागिनों को जिमाना ऐसा करने से तुम्हारा गया हुआ राज्य पुनः प्राप्त होगा। सुबह होते ही रानी ने राजा को अपने सपने के बारे में बताया. रानी की बात सुनते ही राजा उसे महल में ले आया। राजा और रानी ने प्रार्थना की. संकटा माता की भक्तिपूर्वक पूजा की और संकटा माता के निर्देशानुसार विवाहित महिलाओं को भोजन कराया। ऐसा करने से उनका बिगड़ा हुआ सारा समय सुधर गया और सारा राजपाट उन्हें वापस मिल गया और वह पहले की तरह राज्य को भोगने लगे।। बोलो संकटा मैया की जय!

One day, a woman named Diya’s mother came out of the well and asked the old woman, “Old mother, why are you crying while sitting? What is bothering you? Tell me your sorrow and I will try to alleviate it.” When the old woman heard the woman’s question, she did not answer and continued to cry. Diya’s mother kept repeating the question. This made the old woman angry and she told Diya’s mother, “Why are you asking me repeatedly? Will you really make my sorrows disappear?” Having heard the old woman’s words, Diya’s mother replied, “I will certainly try to lessen your sorrows.” After receiving this assurance from Diya’s mother, the old woman said, “My son has gone abroad to earn money. My daughter-in-law mistreats me. This is the cause of my sorrow.” Upon hearing the old woman’s words, Diya’s mother said, “The Mother of Troubles lives here in the jungle. Tell her your sorrows and pray to her. She is very compassionate towards the distressed. She makes sure that the childless one has children, the poor become rich, the weak become strong, and the unfortunate become fortunate.”
With their blessings, the fate of happy women becomes unchanging, unmarried girls find their desired husbands, sick people get cured of their diseases, and they fulfill all their desires without a doubt. Upon hearing strange things from Diya’s mother, the old lady went to the temple and began to weep at her feet. Sympathetically, the goddess asked the old lady, “Grandma, why are you crying so sadly?” The old lady said, “Oh mother, you know everything and nothing is hidden from you. If you reassure me that you will remove my sorrows, then I will tell you my painful story.” Upon hearing the old lady’s sorrowful tale, the goddess said, “First tell me your sorrows. It is my duty to lessen the sorrows of those who are unhappy.” The old lady replied, “My son has gone abroad, and my daughter-in-law tells me various things as she does not live in our house. It is unbearable for me to hear her speak. This is why I cry repeatedly in distress.” Upon hearing the painful story of the old lady, the goddess said, “Go home and pray to me on the day of my worship and invite married women for dinner. By doing this, your son will surely return to you.” Following the instructions of the goddess, the old lady prayed and invited married women for dinner, but something strange happened when she started making seven sweets for the women… eight sweets were made in their place. This left the old lady confused as to why it happened. Was there another reason to offer eight sweets alone?
At that moment, Sankata Mata appeared before the old woman and asked her, “Why, old lady, is there a celebration at your home today?” Hearing this, the old woman replied, “Today I worshiped Sankata Mata and invited married women for a meal, but when I count and make seven laddoos, they magically turn into eight, and I am worried about this.” Upon hearing the old woman’s words, Sankata Mata asked, “Did you invite an elderly woman too?” The old woman replied that she had not, asking who Sankata Mata was. Sankata Mata explained that she was an elderly woman and asked to be invited to the meal, to which the old woman agreed. After that, all the invited guests arrived at the old woman’s house, and she served them laddoos and other sweets. Sankata Mata was pleased with the old woman’s hospitality and through her kindness, the woman’s son became curious about his mother and wife, whom he had never met. A few days later, the old woman served food to married women after worshipping Sankata Mata, and someone informed her of her son’s arrival. However, the old woman replied, “Let the boy sit, I will finish my work and then come.” When the son’s wife heard the news of her husband’s arrival, she immediately went to welcome him, while the son thought to himself, “My wife loves me so much that she came to meet me as soon as she heard the news, but my mother did not come to meet me even after hearing the news.”
After the worship, all the married women returned to their homes after eating. An old woman came to see her son. When his mother arrived, the child asked, “Mother, where have you been all this time?” Mother said, “Son, I had wished for your well-being from the goddess of distress, so I was waiting for her to fulfill it. By the grace of the goddess of distress, her mind changed towards her wife. She told her mother, “Mother, either I will stay here or she will stay here.” The old woman said, “Son, I have found you with a lot of penance, so I cannot leave you.” Therefore, the boy threw his wife out of the house. When she came out of the house, she sat under a peepal tree crying with a sad heart. A king passed by and saw her crying, and asked her, “Why are you crying?” Then she told the king her whole story. The king said, “From now on, you are my religious sister, so do not cry. I will try to solve all your problems.” Saying this, the king took the woman to the palace. After arriving at the palace, the king told the queen the whole story and said to her, “Look, from now on, she is my religious sister, she will stay in this palace and should not have any kind of trouble.” After arriving at the king’s place, a few days later, Ramanath’s wife was inspired by the religion and started the fast of the goddess of distress. She invited married women to eat food and invited the queen as well. When all the married women started eating laddus, the queen said, “I can only digest rabri, cream, and delicious desserts. How will I digest these stone-like laddus?” Saying such careless things, the queen refused to eat the laddus.
After some time, due to the grace of the goddess Sankata, Ramnath arrived at the king’s palace in search of his wife. When he arrived there and saw his wife worshipping Sankata mata, he bowed to the goddess with folded hands and said to his wife, “My dear, please forgive my mistake”. The woman said, “Nath, it is all due to fate, you are not at fault. You are like God to me. Please forgive me for my mistake”. After saying this, they both quickly listened to the story of Sankata mata and paid their respects to her. After the completion of the worship and the welcome of the married women, the husband and wife were ready to go home. When they were leaving, Ramnath’s wife said to the king and queen, “When I was in trouble, you protected me by making me a beggar. If you ever need any help, please come to my cottage without any hesitation.” Saying this, the couple went home and the queen was heavily afflicted by a crisis for disrespecting the offering of Sankata mata, causing them to lose their kingdom. When she was stuck in such a distressing situation, the queen said to the king, “I don’t know what kind of religious sister she was, everything was lost when she left. We should go to her for help” After thinking about this, the king and queen went to their sister’s house. There, the queen said, “Sister, everything has been lost since you left, and we are in great distress.” After hearing Ramnath’s wife’s words, the queen should sincerely apologize to Sankata mata and as per her instructions, feed the married women. By doing this, all their problems were solved and they got their kingdom back, and they started enjoying their lives as before. Praise to the goddess Sankata!
