बुध प्रदोष व्रत कथा हिंदी में
वार के अनुसार जो प्रदोष व्रत करते हैं, उसी के अनुरूप उसका फल प्राप्त होता है। प्रदोष अथवा त्रयोदशी का व्रत मनुष्य को संतोषी एवं सुखी बनाता है। बुध त्रयोदशी प्रदोष व्रत करने से सर्व कामनाएं पूर्ण होती हैं। इस व्रत में हरी वस्तुओं का प्रयोग करना चाहिए। शंकर शिव जी की आराधना धूप, बेल पत्र आदि से करनी चाहिए। बुध प्रदोष व्रत की कथा के अनुसार एक पुरुष का नया-नया विवाह हुआ। विवाह के 2 दिनों बाद उसकी पत्नी मायके चली गई। कुछ दिनों के बाद वह पुरुष पत्नी को लेने उसके यहां गया। बुधवार को जब वह पत्नी के साथ लौटने लगा तो ससुराल पक्ष ने उसे रोकने का प्रयत्न किया कि विदाई के लिए बुधवार शुभ नहीं होता। लेकिन वह नहीं माना और पत्नी के साथ बैल गाड़ी में चल पड़ा। विवश होकर सास ससुर ने अपने जमाई और पुत्री को भारी मन से विदा किया।
नगर के बाहर पहुंचने पर पत्नी को प्यास लगी। पुरुष लोटा लेकर पानी की तलाश में चल पड़ा। पत्नी एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठ गई। थोड़ी देर बाद पुरुष पानी लेकर वापस लौटा, तब उसने देखा कि उसकी पत्नी किसी के साथ हंस-हंसकर बातें कर रही है और उसके लोटे से पानी पी रही है। उसको क्रोध आ गया। वह निकट पहुंचा तो उसके आश्चर्य का कोई ठिकाना न रहा, क्योंकि उस आदमी की सूरत उसी की भांति थी। पत्नी भी सोच में पड़ गई। दोनों पुरुष झगड़ने लगे। धीरे धीरे वहां कॉफी भीड़ एकत्रित हो गई और सिपाही भी आ गए। हमशक्ल आदमियों को देख वे भी आश्चर्य में पड़ गए। उन्होंने स्त्री से पूछा- उसका पति कौन है? वह किंकर्तव्यविमूढ़ हो गई। तब वह पुरुष शंकर भगवान से प्रार्थना करने लगा- हे भगवान! हमारी रक्षा करें। मुझसे बड़ी भूल हुई कि मैंने सास-ससुर की बात नहीं मानी और बुधवार को पत्नी को विदा करा लिया। मैं भविष्य में ऐसा कदापि नहीं करूंगा।
जैसे ही उसकी प्रार्थना पूरी हुई, दूसरा पुरुष अंतर्ध्यान हो गया। पति-पत्नी सकुशल अपने घर पहुंच गए। उस दिन के बाद से पति-पत्नी नियमपूर्वक बुध त्रयोदशी प्रदोष का व्रत रखने लगे। अत: बुध त्रयोदशी व्रत हर मनुष्य को करना चाहिए।

Budh Pradosh Vrat Katha
Hafton ke dinon ke anusaar, jinhonne Pradosh Vrat ko manaya unhein us din ke anusaar fal prapt hota hai. Pradosh ya Trayodashi ka vrat vyakti ko santusht aur khush banata hai. Budh Trayodashi Pradosh Vrat manane se saare ichhayein poori hoti hain. Is vrat mein aradhana ke liye hara samagri ka upayog karna chahiye, jaise dhup aur bel patte.
Budh Trayodashi Pradosh Vrat ki kahani ke anusar, ek aadmi ka haal hi mein shaadi ho gaya tha. Sirf do dinon ke baad, uski patni apne maayke chali gayi. Kuch dinon ke baad, woh aadmi apni patni ko wapas lene gaya. Jab woh apni patni ke saath budhvar ko wapas lautne laga, to sasural wale ne kaha ki budhvar, dulhan ke bidaai ke liye ashubh hota hai. Lekin woh is par itiraz nahi kiya aur apni patni ke saath bail gaadi mein nikal pada. Usne apni patni ko ghar lana tha.
Nagar ke bahar pahunchte samay, uski patni ko pyaas lagi. Us aadmi ne paani ki khoj mein lota liya aur uski patni ek ped ke neeche baith gayi. Thodi der baad, jab woh paani lekar laut aaya, to usne dekha ki uski patni kisi aur aadmi ke saath hansta-hansta baatein kar rahi thi, jo uske bilkul saman dikhai de raha tha. Uski patni bhi is sthiti se prabhavit hui. Dono aadmi mein jhagda shuru ho gaya, aur jaldi hi ek bheed bhi aakarshit ho gayi, jo is ajeeb ghatna ko dekhne aayi thi.
Logon ne dekha ki do saman aadmi ko aurat se puchha ki uska pati kaun hai. Woh bhi uljhan mein thi. Tab, us aadmi ne Bhagwan Shiva se madad ki prarthana ki, kahate hue, “Hey Bhagwan, kripya karke hamein bachao. Maine apni saas-sasur ki salah na maanke budhvar ko patni ko wapas lana ka faisla kiya, jo ek galat kadam tha.” Aur jaise hi uski prarthana ka parinam mila, doosra aadmi gayab ho gaya. Pati-patni surakshit rahe.
Is ajeeb ghatna ko dekhte huye nagar ke log bhi ashcharyachakit hue aur puchte rahe ki pati kaun hai. Patni bhi uljhan mein thi, aur tab us aadmi ne punah Bhagwan Shiva se prarthana ki, kahate hue, “Hey Bhagwan, kripya karke hamein bachao. Main aise kadam nahi uthaunga. Jaise maine budhvar ko patni ko wapas bhej diya, aisa main bhavishya mein kabhi nahi karunga.”
Iski pratikriya mein, doosra aadmi punah gayab ho gaya, aur pati-patni ko us ajeeb sthiti se bachaya gaya. Is din ke baad se, pati-patni ne niyamit roop se Budh Trayodashi Pradosh Vrat ka palan kiya. Isliye, Budh Trayodashi Pradosh Vrat ko har vyakti ko manana chahiye.

As per the story of Budh Pradosh Vrat, there was a man who had recently gotten married. Just two days after the wedding, his wife went to her parents’ home. After a few days, he went to bring his wife back. When he started returning with his wife on Wednesday, the in-laws insisted that Wednesday was not an auspicious day for the bride’s departure. However, he did not agree and set out with his wife in a bullock cart. He was determined to get her home.
Upon reaching outside the city, his wife felt thirsty. The man went to find water, and his wife sat under a tree. After some time, the man returned with water and saw his wife laughing and talking with another man, who looked exactly like him. His wife was also taken aback by the situation. Both men began to argue, and the crowd gathered to watch the strange event. The onlookers were equally amazed to see identical men.
They asked the woman who her husband was. She was confused. Then, the man prayed to Lord Shiva, saying, “Oh Lord, please save us. I have made a grave mistake by not heeding my in-laws’ advice and bringing my wife back on Wednesday.” As soon as his prayer was answered, the other man disappeared. The husband and wife were safe. Seeing the strange men, the townspeople were amazed and inquired about who the husband was. The woman was bewildered, and the man realized his mistake. He prayed to Lord Shiva, saying, “Oh Lord, please protect us. I will never do such a thing again.”
After his prayer was answered, the other man disappeared. The husband and wife were safe. From that day on, the husband and wife regularly observed the Budh Trayodashi Pradosh Vrat. Therefore, Budh Trayodashi Pradosh Vrat should be observed by every person.
