Bakre ko mata ke samne laya jata hai, pujari murti ko sparsh karakar chawal arpit karte hain, aur bakra ussi kshan mrityu praye ho jata hai. Thodi der baad bakra phir se uth khada hota hai aur iske baad use mukt kar diya jata hai. Yeh chamatkar aankhon ke samne hota hai, jise dekhkar aap yakeen nahi kar pate ki aap 21vi shatabdi mein hain.
Kaha jata hai ki Chand aur Mund naam ke asuron ka vadh karne ke liye Devi yahan aayi thi. Chand ke vinash ke baad Mund yudh karte hue is pahadi par chhup gaya tha. Yahin par Mata ne Mund ka vadh kiya tha, isliye yeh mandir Mata Mundeshwari Devi ke naam se prasiddh hai. Mundeshwari Mandir ki vastukala advitiya hai. Mandir ka ashtakoniy garbhgrih Bharatiya puratatva vibhag ki drishti se mahatvapurn hai. Yahaan Panchmukhi Shivling sthit hai, jiska rang subah, dopahar aur shaam ko alag-alag dikhai deta hai. Yeh bhi ek adbhut chamatkar hai. Mandir parisar mein kuch shilalekh Brahmi lipi mein likhe gaye hain, jo is mandir ke pracheen hone ka praman dete hain.
