Aise mein Kaushik muni apne parivaar sahit aise sthaan ki talash mein nikal pade jahan unhein rahne ke liye bhojan aur paani aasaani se mil sake. Ve chalte gaye, chalte gaye. Doori tak aakaal ki chhaya padi thi. Unka sabse chhota putra ab lagataar chal nahin paata. Ek raat unhone Bhagwan par bharosa kar use jungle mein ek ped ke neeche chhod diya aur chale gaye. Subah jab bachcha utha to use apne mata-pita nahin dikhe. Vah vyakul hokar rone laga, parantu is sunsan sthaan mein uski pukaar kaun sunega? Vah rote-rote thak gaya aur bhookh-pyaas se nirash hokar ek ped ke neeche baith gaya. Pipal ke bahut se fal ped ke neeche gir gaye. Bachcha unhein ek ke baad ek khaane laga.
Jab use bhookh lagti thi to use achha lagne lagta tha. Khaane ke baad use shaanti mili. Use kuchh doori par ek baavadi dikhayi di. Jab use baavadi se paani piya to uska man shaant ho gaya. Is prakaar, pipal ka ped aur paani se bhari baavadi is registaani jangal mein uske jeevit rahne ka mukhya aadhaar ban gaya. Uske mata-pita use chhodne ke baad kahan gaye? Is baat ka unhein koi andaaza nahin tha. Apni bhookh aur pyaas mitaane ke liye vah Bhagwan ka dhyaan karne laga. Bahut dino ke baad ek din achanak devrishi Narad wahan aaye. Jab unhonne pipal ke ped ke neeche ek balak ko Bhagwan ki pooja karte dekha to unhein ashcharya hua ki is nirjan van mein, jahan koi ashram ya gurukul nahin hai, yah balak kaun hai aur yah yahan akela kaise bhajan kar sakta hai? Narad is balak ke paas pahunche. Balak ko bhi ashcharya hua jab itne dino ke baad achanak uski nazar rishi par padi. Narad ne balak se poocha, tum kaun ho? Tumhare mata-pita kahan hain? Aap itni kam umr mein yahan akela kaise rehte hain?
Kisi ka saanidhya paakar balak ka dukh aur badh gaya. Unhone kaha ki unhein nahi pata ki kab unke mata-pita unhein khana aur paani dhoondhne ke liye yahan chhod gaye the. Use yah bhi nahi pata ki uske mata-pita kaun hain aur ab kahan hain. is nirjan van mein main is pipal ke vriksh ke phal aur kand khaakar jeevit rehta hoon. Yah pipal ka vriksh hi mere liye mata-pita ke saman hai. “Vats, chinta mat karo,” Narad ne kaha. Tumhari vinamrata, namrata, saahas aur jeene ki iccha ko dekhkar mujhe lagta hai ki tum ek kulin parivar ke bacche ho. Ab akaal khatm ho gaya hai. Paude anaaj, kand aur phal ki chinta karne ki koi zarrorat nhi, yeh jungle shantipurna hai aur yaha koi jungli janwar bhi nhi hai, isliye aap yahan bina kisi dar ke tap aur jap kar sakte ho.
Yahaan Bhagwan Vishnu ka dhyan kar “Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaya” mantra ka jaap karo, ek din Bhagwan Vishnu aapke mantra aur tapasya ki shakti se santusht honge aur aapke samne prakat honge. Is peepal ke vriksh ke neeche iska phal khaakar tumhara poshan hua hai aur ab isi ke neeche tumhari tapasya hogi. Isiliye main tumhe “Pipalad” naam deta hoon. Main tumhe ashirwad deta hoon ki ek din tum mahan rishi mein se ek banoge. Main ab ja raha hoon “Ek din aapse milne zaroor aaunga,” Narad itna kehkar chale gaye. Pipalad ne Bhagwan Vishnu ki aradhana karna shuru kar diya. Unke tyag aur tapasya se prasann hokar Bhagwan Vishnu prakat hue aur bole, “Pipalad, main tumhari tapasya se bahut prasann hoon. Vardaan mango.” Jab Pipalad ne apni aankhen kholi, to Sakshat Chaturbhuj Vishnu Bhagwan Shankh, Chakra, Gada, Padam liye khade hain. Jab Pipalad ne unhe dekha, to voh bhool gaye unki indriyan aur unki bhawanaon se abhibhoot hokar, Bhagwan ke charnon se lipat gaye. Bhagwan Vishnu ne pyaar se unhe gale laga liya aur unse man vanchit ashirwad maangne ko kaha.
Pipalad ne kaha, “Bhagwan, main aapke sakshat darshan ke baad ab aur kuch nahi chahta. Yadi aapko mujhe kuch dena hi hai to mujhe apni drishti aur bhakti dijiye.” Vishnu ne kaha, “Tum pehle hi bhakti praapt kar chuke ho.” Atharvan Pad prapt karke tumhe gyan bhi praapt hoga aur tum Pipalad Samhita ke rachayita banoge. “In shabdon ke saath Bhagwan Vishnu gayab ho gaye.” Pipalad fir bhakti aur tap mein doob gaye. Kuch din baad Narad ji wapas aaye. Bhagwan Vishnu ne Pipalad ko darshan diye aur unhe gyan aur bhakti ka ashirwad diya – yeh jaankar voh bahut prasann hue. Jab unhone Narad ko dekha to Pipalad ke mann mein atit fir se pareshan karne laga. Unhone apne hriday ki peeda vyakt karte huye kaha, “Devarshi! Mere karmo ka kya parinaam hai jiske karan mujhe bachpan se hi itne kasht jhelne pade? Mere mata-pita aur kul ke bare mein koi jaankari nahi hai. Pipal ke ped ke neeche rahkar aur uske phal khaakar jeewit rahe. Isiliye aapne uska naam “Pipalad” rakha. Aapne meri diksha, meri shiksha aur mere sanskaron ka ayojan karke mujhe Brahman ka darja diya. Aapke dhanyavaad se Bhagwan Vishnu prakat hue. Narad ne kaha, “Pipalad! Atit ke bare mein mat socho.
Apko yeh sab Shani ke prakop ke karan sahana pada, jo aaj bhi aakash mein apni kaksha mein tez gati se bhraman karta hai. Jab Pipplad ne yeh suna toh woh apna krodh nahi daba sakta. Usne Shani ko kareeb se dekha. Unke tap ki teevrata ke karan, Shani bhatak gaye aur ek parvat par gir gaye. Unchai se girne ke karan Shani ka pair toot gaya. Shani ki durdasha dekhkar Narad bahut prasann hue. Unhone Brahma, Indra adi devtaon ko bulakar Shani ki durdasha dikhayi. Yeh dekhkar Brahma ne Pipplad se kaha, “Pipplad! Ek buddhimaan vyakti hone ke naate aapko itna krodhit nahi hona chahiye tha. Manushya apne poorv karmo ke anusar hi sukh aur dukh bhogte hai. Aapke ateet ke liye Shani doshi nahi hai. Ve prakriti ke niyamon ke anusar apni yaatra jaari rakhte hai. Yadi aap unhe unke sthan se girne denge toh prakriti ke niyam toot jayenge aur arajakta paida ho jayegi. Atah, apne tapobal ke bal par unhe vaapas sthapit kare aur sansar ka santulan banaye rakhne ke liye prakriti mein nirmit in devtaon aur grahon ke liye marg prashast karein.” Brahma ji ki baat sunkar Pipplad ne tapobal ke bal se Shani ko vaapas unke mool sthan par la diya. Tab Brahma Dev ne Pipplad Rishi ko ye vardaan bhi diya ki jo bhi yeh katha sache man se padega sunega use kabhi Shani ki peeda nahi bhogni padegi.

पिप्पलाद मुनि की कथा – कौन थे पिप्पलाद ऋषि? जिन्होंने शनि देव को बंदी बनाया
त्रेतायुग में एक समय भयंकर अकाल पड़ा। चूँकि वर्षा नहीं हुई, सारी वनस्पति सूख गयी। जंगलों में कंद, जड़ें और पानी भी कम पाए जाते थे। ऐसे में कौशिक मुनि अपने परिवार सहित ऐसे स्थान की तलाश में निकल पड़े जहां उन्हें रहने के लिए भोजन और पानी आसानी से मिल सके। वे चलते गए, चलते गए। दूर तक अकाल की छाया पड़ी थी. उनका सबसे छोटा पुत्र अब लगातार चल नहीं पाता। एक रात उन्होंने भगवान पर भरोसा कर उसे जंगल में एक पेड़ के नीचे छोड़ दिया और चले गए। सुबह जब बच्चा उठा तो उसे अपने माता-पिता नहीं दिखे। वह व्याकुल होकर रोने लगा, परन्तु इस सुनसान स्थान में उसकी पुकार कौन सुनेगा? वह रोते-रोते थक गया और भूख-प्यास से निराश होकर एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठ गया। पीपल के बहुत से फल पेड़ के नीचे गिर गये। बच्चा उन्हें एक के बाद एक खाने लगा।
जब उसे भूख लगती थी तो उसे अच्छा लगने लगता था। खाने के बाद उसे शांति मिली. उसे कुछ दूरी पर एक बावड़ी दिखाई दी। जब उसने बावड़ी से पानी पिया तो उसका मन शांत हो गया। इस प्रकार, पीपल का पेड़ और पानी से भारी बावड़ी इस रेगिस्तानी जंगल में उसके जीवित रहने का मुख्य आधार बन गया। उसके माता-पिता उसे छोड़ने के बाद कहाँ गए? इस बात का उन्हें कोई अंदाज़ा नहीं था. अपनी भूख और प्यास मिटाने के लिए वह भगवान का ध्यान करने लगा। बहुत दिनों के बाद एक दिन अचानक देवर्षि नारद वहाँ आये। जब उन्होंने पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे एक बालक को भगवान की पूजा करते देखा तो उन्हें आश्चर्य हुआ कि इस निर्जन वन में, जहाँ कोई आश्रम या गुरुकुल नहीं है, यह बालक कौन है और यह यहाँ अकेला कैसे भजन कर सकता है? नारद इस बालक के पास पहुंचे। बालक को भी आश्चर्य हुआ जब इतने दिनों के बाद अचानक उसकी नजर ऋषि पर पड़ी। नारद ने बालक से पूछा, तुम कौन हो?तुम्हारे माता-पिता कहाँ हैं? आप इतनी कम उम्र में यहाँ अकेले कैसे रहते हैं?
किसी का सानिध्य पाकर बालक का दुःख और बढ़ गया। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्हें नहीं पता कि कब उनके माता-पिता उन्हें खाना और पानी ढूंढने के लिए यहां छोड़ गए थे। उसे यह भी नहीं पता कि उसके माता-पिता कौन हैं और अब कहां हैं. इस निर्जन वन में मैं इस पीपल के वृक्ष के फल और कन्द खाकर जीवित रहता हूँ। यह पीपल का वृक्ष ही मेरे लिए माता-पिता के समान है। “वत्स, चिंता मत करो,” नारद ने कहा। तुम्हारी विनम्रता, नम्रता, साहस और जीने की इच्छा को देखकर मुझे लगता है कि तुम एक कुलीन परिवार के बच्चे हो। अब अकाल ख़त्म हो गया है. पौधे अनाज, कंद और फल की चिंता करने की कोई जरूरत नहीं है. यह जंगल शांतिपूर्ण है और इसमें कोई जंगली जानवर नहीं हैं, इसलिए आप यहां बिना किसी डर के जप और तप कर सकते हैं।
यहां भगवान विष्णु का ध्यान कर “ओम नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय” मंत्र का जाप करो, एक दिन भगवान विष्णु आपके मंत्र और तपस्या की शक्ति से संतुष्ट होंगे और आपके सामने प्रकट होंगे। इस पीपल के वृक्ष के नीचे इसका फल खाकर तुम्हारा पोषण हुआ है और अब इसी के नीचे तुम्हारी तपस्या होगी,। इसीलिए मैं तुम्हें “पिप्पलाद” नाम देता हूं। मैं तुम्हें आशीर्वाद देता हो कि एक दिन तुम महान ऋषि में से एक बनोगे। मैं अब जा रहा हूं ” एक दिन आपसे मिलने जरूर आऊंगा,” नारद इतना कहकर चले गए। पिपलाद ने भगवान विष्णु की आराधना करना शुरू कर दिया। उनके त्याग और तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर भगवान विष्णु प्रकट हुए और बोले, “पिपलाद, मैं तुम्हारी तपस्या से बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ। वरदान मांगो।” जब पिपलाद ने अपनी आँखें खोलीं, तो साक्षात चतुर्भुज विष्णु भगवान शंख, चक्र, गदा, पदम लिए खड़े हैं जब पिपलाद ने उन्हें देखा, तो वह भूल गए उनकी इंद्रियाँ और, उनकी भावनाओं से अभिभूत होकर, भगवान के चरणों से लिपट गए। भगवान विष्णु ने प्यार से उन्हें गले लगा लिया और उनसे मन वांछित आशीर्वाद मांगने को कहा।
पिप्पलाद ने कहा, “भगवान्, मैं आपके साक्षात दर्शन के बाद अब और कुछ नहीं चाहता।” यदि आपको मुझे कुछ देना ही है तो मुझे अपनी दृष्टि और भक्ति दीजिये। विष्णु ने कहा, “तुम पहले ही भक्ति प्राप्त कर चुके हो।” अथर्वण पद प्राप्त करके तुम्हें ज्ञान भी प्राप्त होगा और तुम पिप्पलाद संहिता के रचयिता बनोगे। “इन शब्दों के साथ भगवान विष्णु गायब हो गए।” पिप्पलाद फिर भक्ति और तप में डूब गये। कुछ दिन बाद नारद जी वापस आये। भगवान विष्णु ने पिप्पलाद को दर्शन दिए और उन्हें ज्ञान और भक्ति का आशीर्वाद दिया – यह जानकर वह बहुत प्रसन्न हुए। जब उन्होंने नारद को देखा तो पिप्पलाद के मन में अतीत फिर से परेशान करने लगा। उन्होंने अपने हृदय की पीड़ा व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, “देवर्षि! मेरे कर्मों का क्या परिणाम है जिसके कारण मुझे बचपन से ही इतने कष्ट झेलने पड़े? मेरे माता-पिता और कुल के बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं है. पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे रहकर और उसके फल खाकर जीवित रहे। इसलिये आपने उसका नाम “पिप्पलाद” रखा। आपने मेरी दीक्षा, मेरी शिक्षा और मेरे संस्कारों का आयोजन करके मुझे ब्राह्मण का दर्जा दिया। आपके धन्यवाद से भगवान विष्णु प्रकट हुए। नारद ने कहाः “पिप्पलाद! अतीत के बारे में मत सोचो.
आपको यह सब शनि के प्रकोप के कारण सहना पड़ा, जो आज भी आकाश में अपनी कक्षा में तेज गति से भ्रमण करता है। जब पिप्पलाद ने यह सुना तो वह अपना क्रोध नहीं दबा सका। उसने शनि को करीब से देखा। उनके तप की तीव्रता के कारण, शनि भटक गये और एक पर्वत पर गिर गये। ऊंचाई से गिरने के कारण शनि का पैर टूट गया। शनि की दुर्दशा देखकर नारद बहुत प्रसन्न हुए। उन्होंने ब्रह्मा, इंद्र आदि देवताओं को बुलाकर शनि की दुर्दशा दिखाई । यह देखकर ब्रह्मा ने पिप्पलाद से कहाः “पिप्पलाद! एक बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति होने के नाते आपको इतना क्रोधित नहीं होना चाहिए था। मनुष्य अपने पूर्व कर्मों के अनुसार ही सुख और दुःख भोगते हैं। आपके अतीत के लिए शनि दोषी नहीं है। वे प्रकृति के नियमों के अनुसार अपनी यात्रा जारी रखते हैं। यदि आप उन्हें उनके स्थान से गिरने देंगे तो प्रकृति के नियम टूट जायेंगे और अराजकता पैदा हो जायेगी। अत: अपने तपोबल के बल पर उन्हें वापस स्थापित करे और संसार का संतुलन बनाये रखने के लिए प्रकृति में निर्मित इन देवताओं और ग्रहों के लिए मार्ग प्रशस्त करें। ब्रह्मा जी की बात सुनकर पिप्पलाद ने तपोबल के बल से शनि को वापस उनके मूल स्थान पर ला दिया। तब ब्रह्म देव ने पिप्पलाद ऋषि को ये वरदान भी दिया की जो भी यह कथा सच्चे मन से पड़ेगा सुनेगा उसे कभी शनि की पीड़ा नहीं भोगनी पड़ेगी |

Story of Piplad Muni – Who was Piplad Muni, who imprisoned Shanidev?
In the treta yuga, a terrible famine occurred. Since it did not rain, all the vegetation dried up. Roots, tubers, and even water were scarce in the jungle. In such a situation, the sage Kaushik, along with his family, went out in search of a place where they could easily find food and water to live. They kept walking and walking, and the shadow of the famine was far away. Their youngest son could no longer walk continuously. One night, they trusted God and left him under a tree in the jungle and left. When the child woke up in the morning, his parents were not there. He started crying with distress, but who would hear his cry in this desolate place? He cried until he was tired and sat under a tree, feeling disappointed and hungry. Many fruits fell under the tree, and the child began to eat them one by one. When he was hungry, he enjoyed them. After eating, he found peace. He saw a well in the distance.
When he drank water from it, his mind was at peace. In this way, the peepal tree and the well became the foundation of his survival in this desert forest. Where did his parents go after leaving him here? They had no idea. He began meditating on God to satisfy his hunger and thirst. After many days, one day, Dev Rishi Narad suddenly appeared there. When he saw a boy worshiping God under the peepal tree in this deserted forest, where there is no ashram or gurukul, he wondered who this boy was and how he could sing hymns alone here. Narad reached this boy. When, after so many days, the boy suddenly saw the sage, he was surprised. Narad asked the boy, “Who are you? Where are your parents? How can you live alone here at such a young age?”
Upon the boy’s encounter with someone, his distress and sadness increased. He expressed that he did not know when his parents left him here to seek food and water. He was unaware of who they were and where they were now. In this deserted forest, he survives by eating the fruit and tubers of this Peepal tree, which is like his parents to him. “Vatsa, do not worry” Narad said, “Your humility, meekness, bravery, and desire to live makes me think that you are from a noble family. The famine has ended now. There is no need to worry about the plants, grains, and fruits. This jungle is peaceful, and there are no wild animals here, so you can meditate and practice without any fear.
Meditate on Lord Vishnu by chanting the “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya” mantra. One day Lord Vishnu will be pleased with the power of your mantra and practice and will appear before you. You have been nourished by the fruit of this Peepal tree, and now your practice will take place underneath it. Therefore, I name you “Pipalad”. I bless you that one day you will become a great sage.” Narad said this and left after saying, “I will definitely come to visit you one day.” Pipalad started worshipping Lord Vishnu. Pleased with his practice and sacrifice, Lord Vishnu appeared before him and said, “Pipalad, I am very pleased with your devotion. Ask for a boon.” When Pipalad opened his eyes, he saw the four-armed Lord Vishnu standing with a conch, discus, club, and lotus. Seeing him, he forgot his senses and was overwhelmed by his emotions. He hugged Lord Vishnu’s feet and sought his desired blessing.
Pippalada said, “Lord, after I have seen you, I do not wish for anything else. If you must give me something, then give me your vision and devotion. Vishnu said, “You have already received devotion. By obtaining the Atharvaveda hymns, you will also receive knowledge and become the composer of the Pippalada Samhita.” With these words, Lord Vishnu disappeared. Pippalada then immersed himself in devotion and penance. A few days later, Narada returned. Lord Vishnu appeared to Pippalada and blessed him with knowledge and devotion. When he saw Narada, Pippalada became troubled by the past again. He expressed the pain in his heart and asked, “Devarishi, what is the result of my actions that have caused me to suffer so much since my childhood? I have no information about my parents or lineage. I have lived under the peepal tree and survived by eating its fruit.
Therefore, you named me ‘Pippalada’. You arranged my initiation, education, and upbringing, making me a Brahmin. Thanks to your blessings, Lord Vishnu appeared. When he saw Narada, Pippalada became troubled by the past again. He expressed the pain in his heart and asked, “Devarishi, what is the result of my actions that have caused me to suffer so much since my childhood? I have no information about my parents or lineage. I have lived under the peepal tree and survived by eating its fruit. Therefore, you named me ‘Pippalada’. You arranged my initiation, education, and upbringing, making me a Brahmin. Thanks to your blessings, Lord Vishnu appeared. Narada replied, “Pippalada, don’t think about the past. You had to endure all this suffering because of Shani’s anger, who still travels swiftly in his orbit in the sky. When Pippalada heard this, he could not control his anger. He looked at Shani closely. Due to the intensity of his penance, Shani faltered and fell on a mountain. He broke his foot as he fell from a height.
Narada was very pleased to see Shani’s suffering. He called upon Brahma, Indra, and other deities to show them Shani’s plight. Upon seeing this, Brahma told Pippalada, “Pippalada, as a wise person, you should not have been so angry. Humans experience happiness and sorrow based on their past actions. Shani is not to blame for your past. They follow the laws of nature on their journey. If you make them fall from their place, then nature’s laws will be broken, and disorder will be created. Therefore, using your power of penance, bring them back to their rightful place and keep balance in the world by making the paths of these gods and planets in nature perfect.” Upon hearing Brahma’s words, Pippalada brought Shani back to his original place with the strength of his penance. Then, Brahma gave Pippalada the blessing that whoever reads this story with a true heart will never suffer Shani’s pain.
