Bhagwan Shri Krishna ke janamdin ka yeh pavitra tyohar har varsh bade hi ullas se manaya jata hai. Har taraf Dwarkadisha leelaon ki charcha hoti hai. Aise mein aaj hum aapke dhyaan mein late hain Mahabharat se judi kai aisi ghatnayein batate hain jinke bare mein bahut kam jankari hai. Shri Krishna ke priya mitr Arjun ke putra Iravan ke bare mein ek bahut hi rochak kahani hai. Is sandarbh mein hum aapko bataden ki Bhagwan Shri Krishna ne Arjun ke putra Iravan se vivah kiya tha aur vidhwa bankar uski mrityu ka shok bhi manaya tha. Aaiye jante hain ki Bhagwan Shri Krishna ne Arjun ke putra Iravan se kyon vivah kiya aur kyon Iravan ne apni bali de di.
Iravan kaun tha? Iravan Arjun aur unki doosri patni Nagkanya Ulupi ka putra tha. Arjun ka putra Iravan anya Pandavon ki tarah hi balshali aur accha yodha mana jata tha. Iravan ka yuddh kaushal Mahabharat yuddh mein bhi dekhne ko mila tha. Unhone Kaurav sena ke kai shaktishali yodhao ko haraya. Puranik manyataon aur Dharmashastron ke anusaar, jab Kurukshetra yuddh ke dauran Kaurav sena ne Pandavon ka daman karna shuru kar diya, to Pandavon ko yeh dar satane laga ki ve yuddh haar jayenge. Tab sarvsammati se kaha gaya ki Kali Mata ko Narbali di jani chahiye. Sabhi ne nirnay liya ki yadi raja ke putra ki bali de di jaye to Pandav yuddh jeet jayenge. Balidan ke naam par ek bhi rajkumar age nahi aya. Tab Arjun ka putra Iravan age aya aur bali dene ke liye tayar ho gaya.
Arjun ki tarah Iravan bhi ek utkrisht dhanurdhar tha. Vah balidan ke liye tayar ho gaya, lekin shart rakhi ki vah vivahit hokar marna chahta hai. Lekin fir sawal utha ki us rajkumar se shaadi kaun karega, jo kuch hi palon mein mar jayega. Puranon ke anusar aisi sthiti mein Bhagwan Shri Krishna prakat hue, aur Mohini roop dharan kiya aur Iravan se vivah kiya. Vivah ke agle din jab Iravan ki bali Kali Mata ke samne di gayi to Mohini roop dharan kiye Bhagwan Shri Krishna ne vidhwa ki tarah vilap kiya. Aisa mana jata hai ki Kinnaur Iravan ko Bhagwan mante hain. Dakshin Bharat mein Tamil Nadu ke Velupuram jile mein Iravan mandir hai. Puranik katha ke anusar, Iravan mein Kinnaur saal mein ek baar shaadi karte hain. Agle din, vah apna mangalsutra utarti hai, chudiyan pehenti hai aur vidhwa vilap karti hai.

भगवान श्री कृष्ण का जन्म भाद्रपद माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि को रोहिणी नक्षत्र में हुआ था। भगवान श्री कृष्ण के जन्मदिन का यह पवित्र त्योहार हर वर्ष बड़े ही उल्लास से मनाया जाता है हर तरफ द्वारिकादिशा लीलाओं की चर्चा होती है। ऐसे में आज हम आपके ध्यान में लाते हैं महाभारत से जुड़ी कई ऐसी घटनाएं बताते हैं जिनके बारे में बहुत कम जानकारी है। श्रीकृष्ण के प्रिय मित्र अर्जुन के पुत्र इरावन के बारे में एक बहुत ही रोचक कहानी है। इस संदर्भ में हम आपको बता दें कि भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने अर्जुन के पुत्र इरावन से विवाह किया था और विधवा बनकर उसकी मृत्यु का शोक भी मनाया था। आइए जानते हैं कि भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने अर्जुन के पुत्र इरावन से क्यों विवाह किया और क्यों इरावन ने अपनी बलि दे दी।
इरावन कौन था? इरावन अर्जुन और उनकी दूसरी पत्नी नागकन्या उलूपी का पुत्र था। अर्जुन का पुत्र इरावन अन्य पांडवों की तरह ही बलशाली और अच्छा योद्धा माना जाता था। इरावन का युद्ध कौशल महाभारत युद्ध में भी देखने को मिला था। उन्होंने कौरव सेना के कई शक्तिशाली योद्धाओं को हराया। पौराणिक मान्यताओं और धर्मशास्त्रों के अनुसार, जब कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध के दौरान कौरव सेना ने पांडवों का दमन करना शुरू कर दिया, तो पांडवों को यह डर सताने लगा कि वे युद्ध हार जाएंगे। तब सर्वसम्मति से कहा गया कि काली माता को नरबलि दी जानी चाहिए। सभी ने निर्णय लिया कि यदि राजा के पुत्र की बलि दे दी जाये तो पांडव युद्ध जीत जायेंगे। बलिदान के नाम पर एक भी राजकुमार आगे नहीं आया। तब अर्जुन का पुत्र इरावन आगे आया और बलि देने के लिए तैयार हो गया।
अर्जुन की तरह इरावन भी एक उत्कृष्ट धनुर्धर था। वह बलिदान के लिए तैयार हो गया, लेकिन शर्त रखी कि वह विवाहित होकर मरना चाहता है। लेकिन फिर सवाल उठा कि उस राजकुमार से शादी कौन करेगा, जो कुछ ही पलों में मर जाएगा। पुराणों के अनुसार ऐसी स्थिति में भगवान श्री कृष्ण प्रकट हुए, और मोहिनी रूप धारण किया और इरावन से विवाह किया। विवाह के अगले दिन जब इरावन की बलि काली माता के सामने दी गई तो मोहिनी रूप धारण किए भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने विधवा की तरह विलाप किया। ऐसा माना जाता है कि किन्नर इरावन को भगवान मानते हैं। दक्षिण भारत में तमिलनाडु के वेलुपुरम जिले में इरावन मंदिर है। पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार, इरावन में किन्नर साल में एक बार शादी करते हैं। अगले दिन, वह अपना मंगलसूत्र उतारती है, चूड़ियाँ पहनती है और विधवा विलाप करती है।

According to mythology and the religious scriptures, when the Kaurava army began to overpower the Pandavas during the Kurukshetra war, there was a fear that the Pandavas would lose the war. At that time, it was unanimously decided that a human sacrifice should be offered to the goddess Kali. However, no royal prince came forward to offer himself as a sacrifice. It was Iravan, Arjun’s son, who stepped forward and agreed to offer himself as a sacrifice.
Like his father Arjun, Iravan was also an exceptional archer. He was willing to sacrifice himself, but he had one condition – he wanted to get married before he died. However, the question arose as to who would marry a prince who would die very soon. According to the Puranas, in such a situation, Lord Shri Krishna manifested himself in his Mohini form and married Iravan. The next day, when Iravan was offered as a sacrifice, Lord Shri Krishna mourned his death as a widow. It is believed that the Kinnars consider Iravan to be a god. In the Velupuram district of Tamil Nadu, South India, there is a temple dedicated to Iravan. According to the mythological story, the Kinnars get married once a year, and the next day the bride removes her mangalsutra, wears bangles, and mourns as a widow.
