Mangalwar ko vrat ke ant mein Hanuman ji ko bhog lagane ke baad hi usne khana khaya. Ek din, upvaas ke din, Brahmin ne to bhojan bana nahi saka aur na hi Hanuman ko arpit kar saka. Usne pran kiya ki vah agle Mangalwar ko Hanuman ji ko bhog lagane ke baad hi bhojan karega. Vah chhah din tak bhukhi-pyasi rahi. Mangalwar ko vah behosh ho gayi. Hanuman ji uski lagan aur bhakti se prasann hue. Aashirwad swaroop unhone Brahmin ko ek putra diya aur kaha ki vah tumhari anek sewayein karega.
Bacche ke janm se Brahmini bahut khush hui. Unhone bacche ka naam Mangal rakha. Kuch der baad jab Brahmin ghar aaya aur balak ko dekha, toh poocha ki yeh kaun hai? Mahila ne bataya ki Mangalwar ke vrat se khush hokar Hanuman ji ne use yeh bachcha diya tha. Brahmin ko apni patni ki baat par vishwas nahi hua. Ek din mauka dekhar Brahmin ne bachche ko kue mein fek diya. Jab Brahmini ghar lautti toh usne poocha, ‘Mangal kahan hai?’ Tabhi Mangal muskurata hua peeche se aaya. Brahmin use fir dekhkar ashcharyachakit rah gaya. Raat ko Hanuman ji ne unhein swapna mein darshan diye aur kaha ki yeh putra unhone hi diya hai. Jab sachchai pata chali toh Brahmin bahut khush hua. Iske baad Brahmin couple ne pratyek Mangalwar ko vrat rakhne lage. Jo vyakti Mangalwar vrat ki katha padhta ya sunta hai aur vidhi-vidhan se vrat ka palan karta hai, use Hanuman ji ki kripa se sabhi kast se mukti milti hai, sabhi sukh milte hain aur vah Hanuman ji ki kripa ka patra ban jata hai. एक समय की बात है, एक ब्राह्मण दम्पति थे जिनकी कोई संतान नहीं थी और इसलिए वे बहुत दुखी रहते थे। एक दिन ब्राह्मण भगवान हनुमान की पूजा करने के लिए जंगल गया। वहां उन्होंने पुत्र प्राप्ति के लिए हनुमान जी से प्रार्थना। घर पर उसकी पत्नी ने भी अपने पुत्र के जन्म के उपलक्ष्य में मंगलवार का व्रत रखा। मंगलवार को व्रत के अंत में हनुमान जी को भोग लगाने के बाद ही उसने खाना खाया. एक दिन, उपवास के दिन, ब्राह्मण न तो भोजन बना सका और न ही हनुमान को अर्पित कर सका। उसने प्रण किया कि वह अगले मंगलवार को हनुमान जी को भोग लगाने के बाद ही भोजन करेगी। वह छह दिन तक भूखी-प्यासी रही। मंगलवार को वह बेहोश हो गई। हनुमान जी उसकी लगन और भक्ति से प्रसन्न हुए। आशीर्वाद स्वरूप उन्होंने ब्राह्मण को एक पुत्र दिया और कहा कि वह तुम्हारी अनेक सेवाएँ करेगा।
बच्चे के जन्म से ब्राह्मणी बहुत खुश हुई। उन्होंने बच्चे का नाम मंगल रखा। कुछ देर बाद जब ब्राह्मण घर आया और बालक को देखा तो पूछा कि यह कौन है? महिला ने बताया कि मंगलवार के व्रत से खुश होकर हनुमान जी ने उसे यह बच्चा दिया था. ब्राह्मण को अपनी पत्नी की बात पर विश्वास नहीं हुआ। एक दिन मौका देखकर ब्राह्मण ने बच्चे को कुएं में फेंक दिया। जब ब्राह्मणी घर लौटी तो उसने पूछा, “मंगल कहाँ है?” तभी मंगल मुस्कुराता हुआ पीछे से आया। ब्राह्मण उसे फिर देखकर आश्चर्यचकित रह गया। रात को हनुमानजी ने उन्हें स्वप्न में दर्शन दिये और कहा कि यह पुत्र उन्होंने ही दिया है। जब ब्राह्मण को सच्चाई पता चली तो वह बहुत खुश हुआ। इसके बाद ब्राह्मण दंपत्ति प्रत्येक मंगलवार को व्रत रखने लगे। जो व्यक्ति मंगलवार व्रत की कथा पढ़ता या सुनता है और विधि-विधान से व्रत का पालन करता है, उसे हनुमान जी की कृपा से सभी कष्टों से मुक्ति मिलती है, सभी सुख मिलते हैं और वह हनुमान जी की कृपा का पात्र बन जाता है। बोलो जय सिया राम ||

He remained hungry and thirsty for six days. On the Tuesday, he fainted. Hanuman was pleased with his devotion and blessed him. As a result of Hanuman’s blessing, the Brahmin was granted a son, and Hanuman promised that the child would serve him in many ways.
The Brahmin and his wife were overjoyed with the birth of the child and named him Mangal. When the Brahmin returned home and saw the child, he asked about him. His wife explained that Hanuman had blessed them with the child due to the Tuesday fast. However, the Brahmin couldn’t believe his wife’s words. One day, he seized the opportunity and threw the child into a well. When the Brahmin’s wife returned home and asked about Mangal, he simply smiled and pointed towards the well. To her surprise, Mangal emerged from the well, smiling. The Brahmin was astonished when he saw Mangal alive. Later that night, Hanuman appeared in the Brahmin’s dream, confirming that he had indeed given them the child. Once the truth was revealed, the Brahmin was ecstatic. From then on, the Brahmin couple observed a fast every Tuesday. Anyone who reads or hears the story of the Tuesday fast and observes it with devotion is blessed by Hanuman.
